On-site Computer Support

What types of computers do you service?
Our technicians service computers running Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP.

Do you service Apple computers?
Currently we do not offer on-site support for Apple computers.

How much does on-site support cost?
The going rate for on-site support is $49.99 an hour. 90% of customer problems are resolved within an hour.

What if your technician spends an hour on my computer but the problem is not resolved?
If our technician is unable to solve the problem for you then you are not required to pay. Sometimes we need to take the computer back to the shop for further analysis. If this is necessary you will only be billed for the time our technician spends on it at our shop.

If my computer needs new parts how long will I be without it?
Our goal is to resolve all issues as quickly as we can, same day if possible. If your computer needs new hardware we are often able to replace the part in your home or office while you wait. If we need to take the computer to our shop we will return it to you within 24 hours. If the part needed has to be ordered we will do our best to have the computer back to you within a week.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money order, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card and American Express.

CD Duplication

How Quickly can I get CDs?
Our turnaround times vary depending on the job. Provided we have the graphic and master CD we can often turn around CDs in 2-3 days.

How much does CD Duplication Cost?
It depends on the specific job. Check our CD Duplication page for special deals and our Price Quote Calculator.

What type of CD media do you use?
We use only the highest quality "True Silver" media.

What is "True Silver" media?
"True Silver" is CD-R media that is silver on both sides. "True Silver" CDs don't have the standard blue color associated with CD-Rs. "True Silver" CDs are of a higher quality and look more professional.

What's the difference between CD Duplication and CD Replication?
Replication is the way that CDs you would buy in a music store are made. A glass master of the original music is made and then the CDs are stamped out into injection molded CDs.
Advantages: The cost per CD is lower with Replication and the compatibility with older CD players is higher.
Disadvantages: The minimum quantity for Replication is usually around 500. If you know that you cannot sell that many copies (or simply don't need that many) then Duplication is usually a better option.
Duplication is the act of burning CDs individually. Electric Garden uses Microboards high capacity CD duplicators for its jobs.
Advantages: The customer has much more control over the exact quantity of CDs produced and isn't forced to sit on unneeded CDs.
Disadvantages: The cost per CD is slightly higher but for jobs in the 10-300 CD range this is the most affordable way to go.

In what file format do you need the CD Face graphic?
We prefer the CD Graphic to be in PSD or EPS format. We also accept TIF, GIF and JPG formats. The graphic should be 1365 x 1365 pixels (4.55 x 4.55 inches). You can download the CD Face Template here in Adobe Photoshop format.

Web Design & Hosting

How much do you charge to design a site?
This is a tough question to answer. Our standard rate is $49.99 an hour. How long it will take is totally dependant on the job. Small sites can be done in a matter of hours where larger more intricate sites will obviously take longer.

I want a website designed. What do you need from me?
We need as much information as possible. If you have any pictures or logos you would like incorporated then we will need them (in digital format if possible).

I don't have any pictures or information. What options do I have?
We provide digital photography and copywriting for your website. We offer our customers in the RI / CT / MA area on-site photography.

How much do you charge for web hosting?
Our standard charge is $6.99 a month.

What type of support do your servers have?
Our servers support: CGI/Perl, PHP, SSI, MySQL, ASP and SSL.
